Marion won a key 6A-East district game last night against Jonesboro-Annie Camp, 53-49. The win puts the Junior Patriots in the driver’s seat for the top seed, and subsequent first-round bye, in this season’s 6A-East junior high district tournament. That tournament will be held at Lehr Arena this season. Annie Camp now has three losses inside the district, as does Wonder. Those two teams will play next week in what will likely decide the No. 2 seed in the bracket. Marion was led by Detrick Reeves’ 15 points, 14 apiece from Makayi Boyce and Keyshawn Woods, Khiron Davis added six points, two apiece from Tyler Scott and Tyler Little. The Junior Pats will host Jonesboro-MacArthur on Monday for “Freshman Night.” Marion will wrap its regular season up on the road against East at Lehr Arena in West Memphis.
