Our prayers and thoughts go out to Bryan Brackin and family, for the loss of Pam Wildy Brackin on Friday, Jan. 22, 2016. Bryan works with the Post Office in Hughes and delivers at the Horseshoe Lake area. Pam’s funeral service was Jan. 26, in West Memphis and was officiated by Larry Chitwood, who was well-known by a lot of Horseshoe Lake residents, when he worked at Bruins Supper Club. Congratulations to Jennifer Sexton and Dusty Eaves for the birth of their daughter. Katalaya Moon Eaves was born Sunday, Jan. 24, 2016, at 7:40 p.m., weighing 7 pounds, 15 oz., and 20 inches long. Jennifer was a former Horseshoe Lake Librarian. Katalaya’s grandparents at Horseshoe Lake are Bill and Brenda Henry and maternal grandparents are Jim and Debbie Sexton of North Carolina. For the gardeners in our area, Katalaya means, Orchid.
