Elder Alexander Dean, Jr., 62, of West Memphis, died Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016 in Methodist University Hospital, Memphis. Visitation Friday, Jan. 15, from 11 to 12 noon in New Bethel Church of God in Christ at Hughes. First service will follow at 12 noon in the church. Final Service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 16, at 12 noon in Old St. Paul M. B. Church at West Memphis with visitation one hour prior to service. Burial in Paradise Garden Cemetery. Anthony Funeral Home South in charge of service. Elder Dean was the pastor of New Bethel Church of God in Christ at Hughes and West Memphis. He was a member of the NAACP, Hughes Chapel and former President, the Minister’s Alliance, Arkansas Certified Mentor and Arkansas Department of Corrections and Life Skills Instructor. He is survived by Fannie Lee Dean of West Memphis; three daughters, Casa Davis-Buchanan and Twanna Hightower of West Memphis and Chasity Dean-Anthony of Marion; three sons, Patrick Davis of Kuwait, Reggie Davis of Memphis and Alexander Dean, III of West Memphis; one sister, Doskie Rupert of West Memphis; three brothers, Freddie Dean of West Memphis and Roosevelt Dean, Sr. of Forrest City; 20 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Antonio Pope Sr., 44, of West Memphis, passed away Friday, Jan. 8, 2016 at Methodist University Hospital. Visitation Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Wolfe Brothers Funeral Home. Services Friday 12 p.m. also at Wolfe Brothers Funeral Chapel with burial in Marion Memorial Cemetery. He leaves two sons; three sisters and two brothers.
