The annual Rice and Soybean Production Meeting will be held on Monday, Jan. 25, at the Crawfordsville First Baptist Church in Crawfordsville, beginning at 8:15 a.m. The church is located two blocks east of the library (located on Hwy 50) on Ward Street. The meeting will be followed with a Shrimp Gumbo and Chicken Gumbo Lunch prepared and served by our Crittenden County Master Gardeners. Program Agenda 8:20-8:50 a.m. — Scott Stiles – Rice and Soybean Markets 8:50-9:20 a.m. — Dr. Chris Henry-Irrigation efficiency and timing 9:20-9:50 a.m. — Dr. Bob Scott – Weed Management in Rice and Soybeans 9:50-10:00 a.m. — Break 10:00-10:30 a.m. — Dr. Gus Lorenz-Insect Update 10:30-11:00 a.m. — Dr. Jeremy Ross – Soybean Production 11:00-11:30 a.m. — Dr. Jarrod Hardke – Rice Production 11:30-12:00 noon — Dr. Travis Faske – Soybean Pathology 12:00-1:00 p.m. — Lunch: Shrimp Gumbo (prepared and served by the Crittenden County Master Gardeners Other Meetings Pesticide Applicator Training – Wednesday, Jan. 13, at 9 a.m., at the Extension Office in Marion. Pesticide Applicator Training – Wednesday, Feb. 10, at 9 a.m., at the Extension Office in Marion. Corn, Cotton, and Grain Sorghum Production Meeting – Thursday, Feb. 18, at 9 a.m., at the Extension Office in Marion. Sprayer Clinic – Tuesday, Feb. 23, at 9 a.m., at the Cotton Research Station in Marianna. Pesticide Applicator Training – Saturday March 19, at 9 a.m., at the Extension Office in Marion.
