The Marion Lady Patriots got back in the win column by topping Millington 54-30 last night. Marion (6-5 overall) got 13 points from Jakyya Clay, 12 from Ebony Day, 8 from Zhani Harris and Mya McCray, 7 from Tei Boston, 4 apiece from Tyquesha Selvy and Caitlyn Greer and 2 from Kennedi Boykins in the win. The victory snapped a two-game losing streak, and a tear of three losses in four outings for Marion, as the Lady Pats tore out to a 31-12 lead at halftime before clinching the final score. Millington got 16 points from Tamia Aldridge to lead their team. Marion is back at it today at 10:30 AM when they play the winner of the Memphis Westwood-Memphis Southwind game. The Lady Pats will then play a fourth game on Wednesday, but that contest can be changed to avoid district matchups between teams. Marion will open league play on Friday, January 8 when they play the West Memphis Lady Blue Devils at approximately 6 PM at Lehr Arena.
