Nadine Ripperton Snell
Nadine Ripperton Snell, 95, of West Memphis, died Thursday, Dec. 24, 2015, at her home in West Memphis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron Snell; her parents, Mildred and Lee Ripperton; four sisters, Marian Frei, Patricia Ripperton, Anna Ripperton, and Julia Smythe. She is survived by three daughters, Laurie Newman (Tommy) of Senatobia, Mississippi, Mariann Russell (Eddie) of Decator and Lynnette Thompson ( Scott) of West Memphis; two sons, Robert “Bobby” Snell (Brenda) of Lugoff, South Carolina and Bruce Rosson (Cindy) of Parsons, Tennessee; eleven grandchildren, Brandon Newman, Erin Elam, Jamie Perez, Jenna Russell Mauldin, Kristy Wright, Taylor Thompson, Trisha Hunt, Angela Snell, Bob Snell Jr., Jim Snell and Reta Higgins; fourteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Eloise Caldwell (Phil) of Davenport, Iowa and Johnette Paget of Bettendorf, Iowa; and one brother Carl Ripperton (Laura) of Cordova, Tennessee. Martha Smith Tyner
December 3, 1936 – December 17, 2015 Retired from the West Memphis Public Library She spent her life living for and doing for her family. Family came second only to her faith in God. Preceded in death by her parents, Beulah Porter Smith and John E. Smith; daughter, Stacy Lynn Tyner; and former husband, Warren Tyner Survived by her daughter, Nancy Jo Tyner; grandchildren, John Porter Tyner and Jo Lynn Tyner; Sister, Nita Smith.
Bob Wacaster, 80, of Marion died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2015 at his home. Mr. Wacaster was a salesman/distributor of cotton bale-handling equipment for 40 years and was a graduate of Hughes High School in 1954. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mann Wacaster and Eva Belle Catha Wacaster. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Mrs. Lina Crawford Wacaster; a son, Robert “Rusty” Wacaster and his wife Judianne of Marion; 2 grandchildren, Gregory S. Wacaster and Andrew E. Wacaster; two great-grandchildren, Zophia Wacaster and Celena Wacaster; also a sister, Myrna Little of Kissimmee, Florida; and a special caregiver, DeLois James. Visitation will be held at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis on Monday, Dec. 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 29, at 11 a.m. at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion.
