Sheriff’s Department looking for info on Harvard Yard shooter

Reward offered for tip on Marion man wanted in incident

The Cittenden County Sheriff’s Department is asking for assistance from the community in locating man wanted on charges related to a recent shooting. Zane Boyd, CCSO Chief of Investigations, said the Sheriff’s Department is looking the public’s help in locating Richard Jacobs, 26, of Marion. Jacobs is wanted on warrants related to a shooting incident that occurred in the Harvard Yard subdivision north of Marion on Sunday, Dec. 6. During the incident, a man was assaulted and a car was shot several times. Witnesses report that Jacobs reportedly fled the scene before Sheriff’s Deputies arrived.  Boyd is encouraging anyone with information about Jacobs’ whereabouts to contact Crittenden County Crime Stoppers at (870) 732-4444. Callers could earn up to a $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Jacobs. All calls to Crime Stoppers are kept confidential.
