The Happy Hour Club met at the Earle Baptist Church Family Life Center Dec. 7 where they enjoyed a potluck luncheon. Becky Knapp, president, presided. The tables were covered with green cloths and decorated for Christmas. Favors were Christmas cups filled with candy. The group exchanged Christmas tree ornaments. Jane Speed was recognized as having a December birthday. Rev. Tony Wells led the group singing “O Come, All Ye Faithful” and gave the devotional entitled “Tis The Season.” Door prize winners were Sue Dorman, Christine Littlejohn, Doris Gately, Jean Allensworth, Jane Speed, Allison Bird, Dot McKinney and Sue Ann Elms. Others present were Frankie Swindle, Laura Pritchard, Brennan Holloway, Rev. Stacie Grubbs, Janis Lancaster, Coretta Allen, Vickey Wells and Ken Lancaster.
*** The 39er’s of the Earle Baptist Church had dinner at Fusion in West Memphis Dec. 3. Included were Janis Lancaster, Ken Lancaster, Louis Lancaster, Charlene and Elbert Person, Christine Littlejohn, Kay and Rev. Bill Watt, Doug Manchester, Frankie Swindle, Mary Frances and Edmon Davis, Kevin Mowell of Denver, Colorado, Vickey and Rev. Tony Wells, chairman of the group.
*** Patsy and Rickey Winders, Jayden Rose, Summer Winders and Jacob Winders of Fort Lauderdale, Florida were in Fayetteville recently where they attended a Razorback football game.
*** Kacie Bermudez and Brett Taylor of Little Rock were visitors in the home of Christine Littlejohn Nov. 27.
*** Jimmie Barham spent Thanksgiving week in Hot Springs where she was joined by Eugene Barham of Dallas, Texas and Jimmie Beauchamp of Fayetteville.
*** Patsy and Rickey Winders spent Thanksgiving in Marion in the home of Jodi and Shawn Rhyne and family.
*** Natalie Faith is the name chosen for the daughter born to Kristin and Tyler Carmichael of Walnut, Mississippi Dec. 1 at 3:12 p.m. at Baptist Hospital in New Albany, Mississippi. She weighed 7 pounds and 12 ounces and was 20 inches long. She is welcomed home by her sister Addison, age 5, and a brother Gage, who is two years old. Susie and Mike Root of Marion and Karen and Shane Wright of Walnut, Mississippi are the grandparents. Great grandparents are Ruth and Bobby Guy of Earle.
*** The First United Methodist Church and The Community Singers of Earle will present the annual Christmas program Dec. 20 at 5 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend. A reception will be held in Morrison Fellowship Hall following the program.
*** Doris Gately, along with Billie Green and Nina Mack of West Memphis, was in Little Rock three days recently where they attended the Grand Chapter Order of the Eastern Star of Arkansas. They were guests at the Double Tree Hotel.
