Wonder has gone 2-1 over the past week on the hardwood. The Golden Lions dropped their first game of the season in a 46-45 thriller to Forrest City. Wonder got 16 points from Cavin Paige and 9 from Kenneth Phillips. Wonder returned home for the first round of the Wonder Classic where they topped Bartlett, Tennessee 62-57. Phillips was at it again, as he hit for 23 points and Marcus Whitaker posted 14 of his own. The Golden Lions followed that win up with a 52-41 victory against Bay, with Phillips hitting for 18 and Jamal Macklin posting 15. The Wonder girls were also victorious at their own classic. The Lady Golden Lions went 2-0, topping Rivercrest 47-14 and Bay 30-23. Against Rivercrest, Tashlee Milow hit for 16 points and Tiera Bradley popped for 12. In the Bay victory, Hazley scored 17 points. The Wonder girls are 7-0 while the boys are 9-1. Each school will travel to North Little Rock on December 28 to play in the North Little Rock tournament.
