ASU Mid-South runs out of steam after half

In a tale of two halves, the Greyhounds led 50-39 at the break only to watch West Kentucky put up 57 second-half points to take a 96-89 win Saturday at The Dog House. Trent Steen led the Greyhounds with 19 points, Joe’Randle Toliver had 17, Tyler Armstrong finished with 14, Ladarius Mason scored 12 and Tevin Brown chipped in 10 points. The Greyhounds hit nine three-pointers and were an outstanding 14-18 from the free throw line, but the Stars shot 18 of 26 from the line, going 15 of 22 in the second half. The Greyhounds (6-5 overall) now turn their attention to Saturday’s matchup with St. Louis Community College this Saturday before heading home for the holidays. The men’s game will tipoff at 4:00pm following the Lady Greyhounds’ matchup with Jackson State Community College at 2:00pm.
