Tuesday night’s the 63rd annual West Memphis Christmas parade was a bona fide success by every manner of measure, say organizers. “The largest it has been in years,” said Lindsey Stevens, Public Relations Coordinator for the West Memphis Chamber of Commerce. “The weather could not have been better for the thousands that participated in the parade or showed up to watch.” Floats from the parade celebrated this year’s theme of “Peace, Love & Christmas. “This year we had a large number of floats participate and we appreciate every single one of them,” said Stevens. “We know how much time and work goes in to putting a float together. The floats give you that sort of perfect holiday parade feeling, so it is always exciting to see what groups put together.” This year’s float winners were: Nonprofit Organizations & Businesses 1st Place – Willowbend Nursing & Rehab 2nd Place – West Memphis Animal Services 3rd Place – 8th Street Mission For-profit Businesses 1st Place – Hino Motors 2nd Place – Children’s Dental Group 3rd Place – Crittenden EMS “The West Memphis Chamber of Commerce and the Office of Advertising & Promotion would like to thank everyone that volunteered, participated or attended this year’s parade,” said Stevens. “And congratulations to all our winners.”
