It’s time once again for the return of theFlatland Hillbilly Hoedown, sponsored by the Quota Club International. The Flatland Hillbilly Hoedown is an annual stage show based on the original TV show, “Hee Haw.” The variety show is performed by local Crittenden County entertainers, and includes live music, skits and lots of laughter. This year’s show will be Saturday, Aug. 8 at 6 p.m., at the RiverPAC Civic Auditorium in West Memphis. “This is our only fundraiser of the year,” said the Quota Club’s Helen Ramsey. “The money raised from this event will help support local community service projects including agencies for the deaf, the Cancer Survivor’s Dinner, Relay for Life, and disadvantaged women and children.” Ramsey said the cast and crew are making final preparations for the Hoedown. “Most of last year’s cast will return and a few new cast members will be added,” she said. “Y’all come out!” Quota Club of West Memphis was established in June 1954. To purchase advance tickets call (870) 636-0021 or (870) 636-4118. Tickets may also be purchased at the door.
